Demo 1.2

Demo 1.2 is a very early development build of the game, and is 1055 days older than the final build of the game.

(This page is a work-in-progress. The stuff related to this prototype page will eventually be added at some point.)

Misc screen differences

Very early and unfinished, with only preliminary work having been done on the art.

Very early and unfinished, with only preliminary work having been done on the art. The last screen is identical to this one, so that won't be shown on the page.

Early version of the unused Money Paradise minigame. Besides the differences in art and a lack of objects, the layout remained the same.

The first appearance of the second enemy testing room. It was duplicated from the first enemy test, hence why the cloud enemies also appears here. Just like the first room, the monitor images are hidden behind the walls, and were removed starting with demo 3.2

Sound Differences

The main difference here is the addition of four different Kazooa screams, ripped from WarioWare Inc, Mega Microgames(albeit at a slightly higher pitch). They were going to be used for a much different sequence of game over screens which would be more in the style of Wario Land 4, and would be selected depending on the world the player died in. Work on these screens never started, even though placeholder rooms reserved for them were made.

With Demo 1.1(including its backups) most of the screens prior to "room320_gameoverworld7_hardmode" had already been renamed, and by the 1.2 build these screens were already being repurposed into other things like episode title cards, coffee book screens and so on, with "room307_gameover" being the only screen reserved for dying in a certain world. In the end, the game over screen became much like the Wario: Master of Disguise inspired version in the final game, and these sounds were replaced.

1.2 Final V1

A different game over scream for Kazooa. Funnily enough, the sound found in the final version of the game was already in the Demo 1.1 build, so it probably got changed when the other sounds listed below was added.

1.2 Final V1

Became the sound for picking up a garlic in the final version.

1.2 Final V1

Became the bomb/TNT crate explosion sound effect in the final version.

1.2 Final V1

Became the blooper cutscenes music in the final version.
