Unused Rooms
The game has its share of unused rooms as well. Most of them are earlier versions of the rooms that would end up being used, but there is some rooms that show earlier ideas for things.
As usual, keep in mind that due to the game's unfinished nature, the levels I ended up going with for this build could have seen some changed had development progressed further.
Early version of the inside mansion level.
A very early draft for the opening prologue, with just Kazooa sitting in the middle of the room.
Copy of the used version of the second poo boss battle, with almost every object deleted except the room itself, with a object of Kazooa flickering between frames of a otherwise unused animation. This was gooing to be used as a cutscene after the poo boss had been defeated. Looking back on this, I probably scrapped because it didn't make much sense considering the design of the room.
A scrapped cutscene of Kazooa standing, feeling depressed. Was going to be a alternate ending to the game where the main protagonist(Kazooa) takes her own life after having endured all the events she's been through during the entire day.
Same as above, only with Kazooa crying and pulling out a gun that looks similar to Earthworm Jim's blaster gun, and aims at her head. This detail with the gun was intended to just be a little reference to the character that I've been drawing since I was 7 or 8 years old.
A early version of the Scaredy Birdy area. This is the very first room to have been created. Although it changed between builds it was later abandoned.
Very early version of the inside mansion area, only having been partly modelled out. Some of the tiles used in the level have been changed, explaining its odd look in some parts.
Early room for perhaps testing the appearance of the tile graphics in the game, along with a few backgrounds. I must have found it pretty pointless later on since the room doesn't appear to have been updated since the build it first appeared in. It also seems to have served as a test for a possible realistic shadow for the player character.
Similar to room0, only with Kazooa now being sober, and placed at the Context Sensitive Up key icon.
Another idea for a possible boss, The Great Mighty Poo Crow. This character can be seen in concept art, though there his body looks more like the actual TGMP character from Conker's Bad Fur Day.
This is similar to the screen that would serve as the main menu of the game, but much wider, spanning six screens instead of three.
Earlier variant of the second poo boss battle.
Mature notice screen.
A blank screen serving to add some delay after the above screen.
The room that was planned to take place outside the Cock and Plucker pub. The player would have been able to move around, and maybe idle and watch Kazooa sit down and cry if he or she wanted to. The room was based off of the room where Kazooa would be meeting the death after having died for the first time.
Appears to be a early idea for a option select screen of sorts. Still don't know why or how exactly I got the idea for this screen, considering it was abandoned very early.
A planned chase sequence where the poo boss would be chasing the player, and Kazooa would have needed to get all the way to the end and pull on the toilet flushing handle to flush the boss down.
Early variant of the Scaredy Birdy area that ended up being used in later builds of the game.
Yet another poo themed room that has barely been modeled out. What the purpose of this room would have been I sadly can't remember anymore. Maybe I talked about this room in one of my videos, or maybe I didn't... in any case, this room was scrapped pretty early.
Early version of the Rock Waste room, having had some of the wall tiles deleted. This room hasn't been holding up pretty well though; in the current version of this room, a script is applied to the flashing floor tiles that skews the graphics left and right. The method is very expensive on performance though, and this room wasn't made with this effect in mind, so the framerate goes down to about 2-3 fps, making the room barely playable.
Copy of the unused poo boss chase sequence, only removing the controller object that makes the view scroll.
A messed up and mostly deleted version of the area before the inside mansion level.
A recreation of a room seen in the game's earliest form; Happser the Woodpecker's Quest. The little fellas resembling the first poo boss placed all over the room used to be glitchy-looking objects, but their image was changed at some point.
Same as above, only even more glitchy-looking and with glitchy collision.
A mostly deleted version of the Blood Sea level.
Early variant of the Scaredy Birdy area, only lacking the wall to the left side of the room.
Same as above, only with Kazooa placed near the pool of water.
Nearly deleted version of an early variant of the Windy area.
Empty room, with the only thing defining its layout being the walls sourrounding the entire room except the bottom.
Same as above, only with the floor placed one block further down.
Completely empty. There are rooms in the game that have been completely erased from objects following a cleanup on january 2008. These were probably going to be reused for new rooms and areas, but ended up not being used for anything.
According to backups from a couple days earlier, rooms 16 to 18 had boundary objects added around them, suggesting I was going to start designing some new stages or something, but alas, due to the game's cancellation on december 18 2009 we, and even myself, may never know what kinds of levels I was planning on doing.
