2D Engine Test - Unused Stuff
The 2D Engine Test demo was basically a ROM I made to try and program my own game engine for use in 2D platformers. It was also intended to be used for another project; my very first real game Nikkie. It never went anywhere past some unfinished physics, a dialogue system test, sprite animation tests, along with an early attempt at making parallax background layers, or something.
Due to this demo having been based off the N64 port of the "Dumb Crows Tetris Block Stopping Game 2" game, there is a bit of stuff residing in the files.
sprites/title/
Image format: 4-bit
Encoding: I4, Big Endian
Palette encoding: RGBA5551
The title screen graphics. Sprites identical to 38.sprite to 40.sprite are also present in the game/ directory under the names 54.sprite to 56.sprite.
sprites/lip/
Image format: 8-bit
Encoding: I8, Big Endian
Palette encoding: RGBA5551
The Lip object graphics. These sure must be getting around quite a lot.

Compared to earlier projects, only the mugshots of Lip are left in the ROM.
While these songs can be listened to in the Debug Menu, they otherwise go unused in the demo itself. All of them were made purely for testing.
Every single sound effect from DCTBSG2 are also in here, completely unused.
