RDPTest - Unused Stuff

The Nintendo 64 port of Dumb Crow's tetris Block Stopping Game was indeed tough to make. Due to the game being based off the RDPTest demo, leftovers from that one also reside within the ROM.

sprites/game/

Image format: 4-bit
Encoding: I4, Big Endian
Palette encoding: RGBA5551

Graphics of Dumb-Crow holding a flashing line. These were also unused in the original game, but they were redrawn and ported over for the N64 port, and go unused here as well.

sprites/game2/

Image format: 4-bit
Encoding: I4, Big Endian
Palette encoding: RGBA5551

Bigger versions of the in-game graphics(minus the explosion, stars background, and missile). These are leftover from when the game was going to be on 640x480. Due to lower-than-expected performance on N64, they had to be shrunk and redrawn, and the resolution dropped to 320x240 in order to increase the performance.

sprites/title/

Image format: 4-bit
Encoding: I4, Big Endian
Palette encoding: RGBA5551

16x16 pieces of the star background used in the game. While some of the tiles are identical to the final background, others are different.

These graphics except the first also exist in the game/ directory, but apart from differences when viewed in a hex editor they are visually identical, so they won't be covered on the page.

sprites/border/

Image format: 8-bit
Encoding: I8, Big Endian
Palette encoding: RGBA5551

The graphics for the border(along with the palette) that could be toggled on and off is all that remains in the ROM.

sprites/lip/

Image format: 8-bit
Encoding: I8, Big Endian
Palette encoding: RGBA5551

The graphics for the Lip object, still in their 8-bit format.

sprites/minnie/

Image format: 4-bit
Encoding: I4, Big Endian
Palette encoding: RGBA5551

The broken sprites of Minnie are still here. Only the palette for the first set of sprites are in the ROM, since the colors were swapped out in real-time when other sets of sprites were to be displayed.

sprites/panels/

Image format: 8-bit
Encoding: I8, Big Endian
Palette encoding: RGBA5551

The graphics for the fairy mugshots.

A single unused .it file, which is sort of a NES arrangement of the Killer Instinct 2 theme. I remember it causing quite a drop in fps whenever it played on the title screen, so that's probably why it was replaced.
