Unused text

Text that is different or just plain unused in the final game can be found on this page.

Empty scripts

Contained within the game are 4 scripts(Script2-Script5) that seemingly contain nothing. These scripts once had text in them in earlier versions of the game, and were wiped clean(but never removed) to free some space for new things. They were repurposed for the new saving mechanism present in V1.9 and above.

Early Dialogue Script

:
Leftover in the game's files is a script(dialoguelist_script) which list various lines of text for the game dialogue. There is a great deal of differences between the text in this script and the text that appears in the final game, and even mention ideas that was scrapped.

Introduction02:

Early:
Well birdie, let's hope it turns out good, because MY
games will sell BETTER than your "Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day"!

Final:
Well birdie, let's hope it turns out good, because MY
games will sell BETTER than your Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day!

The quotation marks in Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day was removed to make the bottom row of text fit in the text box.

Early:
Of course not, i've decided to not work on it anymore.

Final:
Of course not, i've decided not to work on it anymore.

A minor word swap. Unsurprisingly, this error remains in the very first versions of the game, while later revisions fixed it.

Early:
I'm watching TV because i've got nothing to do.
NOTHING!, no job, no food, except garlic,
no money, no friends. NOTHING. I've got NOO-THING!
So stop being a complete bastard, and listen UP!

Final:
I'm watching TV because i've got nothing to do.
No job, no food, except garlic, no money,
no friends. NOTHING!
So just shut your mouth, and listen UP!

This line was almost completely changed between the final and earlier versions.

Early:
I'm a genius! I'm so good i scare myself! BWAAHAHAHAHAAA!!

Final:
I'm a genius! I'm so good i scare myself!

The final version removes "BWAAHAHAHAHAAA!!" at the end of the line. This was used in earlier builds of the game before Kazooa's laughing animation was implemented.

Intro03

Early:
TA-DAA!
Final:
TA-DAA!!

An extra exclamation mark was added.
Early:
Uh, it's just a bat, with a clock stuck into it,
and signal things on top of it.
Final:
Uh, it's just a baseball bat, with a clock stuck into
it, and signal things on top of it.

"baseball" were added before "bat".

introduction05
This part has the most changes of all cutscenes in the game. Most of the changes were made to make the text shorter.
Early:
Me! In the "Treasure Land"!!
Final:
Me! In the Treasure Land!!

The quotation marks around Treasure Land were removed.
Early:
I'm gonna be richer than Uncle Johan!!
And he's gonna turn bankrupt!!
Final:
I'll be richer than Uncle Johan, and he'll
go home broke!!

This line changed between versions.
Early:
Well, that's one way of teleporting elsewhere via TV,
will Kazooie appear on TV before Uncle Johan does and
grabbing every single treasure existing in "Treasure Land"?
Final:
Well, that's one way of teleporting elsewhere via TV,
will Kazooie be on TV before Uncle Johan and
get every single treasure in Treasure Land?

The sentences in this part was rewritten to make it shorter.
Early:
Are you kidding?! Look at those silly eyes! But it's
said that the "Treasure Land" has even to this
day been left unexplored due to it's numerous traps,

but that won't stop Kazooie from taking a visit with
treasure being the only thing in her mind, or what?
Final:
Are you kidding?! Look at her silly eyes! But it's
said that the Treasure Land has even to this
day been left unexplored due to it's numerous traps, but
will that stop Kazooie from taking a little visit?

The early text is too long to actually fit in the text box, requiring it to be split up in two parts. Most of it was rewritten for the final game to make it fit in.
Early:
... Well, only time will tell...
Final:
Well, either way, Kazooie may very well strike it rich!

The early text was completely rewritten for the final game.

Endingdemo01
Early:
And so, as Kazooie's TV finale pays off big, the Great
Savior of the Treasure Land's inhabiants heads home to reveal her TV
debut to the guys she knows, and not to mention,
her HUGE pile of treasure.
Final:
And so, as Kazooie's TV finale pays off big, The Great
Explorer of Treasure Land heads home to reveal her TV
debut to the guys she knows, and not to mention,
her HUGE pile of treasure.

Very minor changes. "the" before "Great" was changed to "The". The early text also mentions Kazooie saving the people of the Treasure Land. Such a thing never happens in the final game since Kazooie is just shown getting showered with coins. The early text dates back to backup 2 of Demo 1.0, with the final text not being implemented until backup 1 of Demo 3.2.

Endingdemo05
Early:
So i'll keep tuning in! NO time to give up!
I'll get that part back! And Kazooie wonders...
is there MORE to be found? Maybe.. Maybe not..
Final:
So i'll keep tuning in! NO time to give up!
I'll get that part back! And Kazooie wonders...
is there MORE to be found? Maybe, maybe not..

The two ellipses after "Maybe" were replaced with a comma, and the second "Maybe" was changed to "maybe".
Early:
Ah well, better luck next time.
Final:
Ah well, better luck next time i guess.

The final version added "i guess" to the end of the line.

Endingdemo06
Early:
EAT YOUR WORDS fatso, i'm rich! Even richer than
YOU!.. But Kazooie do wonder though... if
there could be more.. THE END.
Final:
EAT YOUR words fatso, i'm rich! Even richer than
YOU!.. But Kazooie do wonder though... if
there could be more..

The final version removed "THE END." from the last part.

Beach Surfer
Early
Sand Surfing(concept #2)
It's beach time, and everyone's having fun,
surfing and all that. I, on the other hand,
was quite unlucky to actually fit in the sea with all the
MASSIVE folks down there, so I decided to surf
on the sand instead, which kinda works. However,
it sure is no piece of cake surfing on the sand
instead of at the water, cause of those
sunbathing fellas and castlebuilding
Woodstocks being in my way. Whatever you
do, DON'T bump into ANY of them, or else..!!
controls: Space key: Jump over any course
obstacles. That's all you gotta do.

A little tip; some of the people who sunbathes
will be bigger, and it's usually the girls.
If you land on them, then your day will likely
be over. Even if it seems tempting to try it,
just don't!! If you wanna keep scoring, you
gotta stay afloat over any hazards. Btw,
after each thing you jump across, you'll score
one coin. Try to collect as many as possible
during the minigame. (they won't get added
to your total coin account, just like with any
other minigames with coins in them. Sorry 'bout
that, but it's the way things are.)

Final:

obstacles. That's all you gotta do.

A little tip; After you jump over a specific
amount of obstacles, the speed of the minigame
will increase, so watch out!! You'll also score
a coin after each successful jump. Try getting
as many coins as possible during the minigame.

The instructions for Beach Surfer was largely rewritten to make it fit inside the info box. Interestingly, the
title for the early text says Sand Surfing instead of Beach Surfer, and it was meant to replace the 2nd
minigame Ya Road Hog(that ended up being scrapped anyway). In the final version it replaces the Run Kazooie
Run! minigame instead.

Uncle Johan Swatter
Early:
AARGH. This guy is just soo ANNOYING me!! Help
me beating the crap out of him by using my
specially constructed "Uncle-Johan-Swatter!"!
If time runs out, if you haven't swatted him a set
number of times, you'll lose the minigame. May i
also add, that you can ALSO LOSE this minigame
if Uncle Johan picks up ANY nearby coin. DON'T
LET him do it!! It's MY riches, not his!
controls: arrow keys=move the swatter.
Space key= swat.
Note: You CAN pick up the coins appearing on the
board by swatting them, and also, as you progress,
Uncle Johan move faster and faster, so be really
quick, slowgoer!(Like always, he's out after money..
Just like i'am. But he won't be so lucky anyways,
since now i've got the chance of beating him up
finally, after all these years!!)

Final:
AARGH. This guy is just soo ANNOYING me!! Help
me beat the crap out of him by using my
specially constructed ''Uncle-Johan-Swatter!''!
Smack him with it at whichever hole he pops up
at. If time runs out, if you haven't swatted him
a set number of times, you'll lose the minigame.
Don't let him get away or get ANY coin popping
up from the holes, or else!!
controls: arrow keys=move the swatter.
Space key= swat.
Note: You CAN pick up the coins popping up from
the holes by swatting them. If Uncle-Johan
picks up a coin before you do, your coins
AND hits scores will drain, so don't let him
do it! It's MY riches, NOT his!!

The instructions were rewritten for the final game both to make it fit into the box, and also that the minigame has
changed in concept.

Tough Breegull
Early:
I, kazooie, are going to show ya that i'm NOT A
WIMP. But you, the player, gotta help me with
this, since i won't be doing this on my own
(A game is a game, stop complaining!!)..
Anyways, the goal of this minigame is pretty
simple; all you gotta do is make me lift a
large weight, but watch out; if you make me
lift it way high, my arms will be OVERMUSCLIFIED!!
But if you're too slow in making me lift the
weight, i will lift it up by myself, but it turns
out that i'm a WIMP, and get flattened by it's
immense weight, making me go through the floor,
hit the stages bottom, causing the Game-Over logo
to crash down on me, and.. Well, if either
happens, then the games OVER!
controls: Space key=Bend kazooie up and down.

Final:
I, Kazooie, are going to show ya that i'm NOT A
WIMP. But you, the player, gotta help me with
this, since i won't be doing this on my own
(A game is a game, stop complaining!!)..
Anyways, the goal of this minigame is pretty
simple; all you gotta do is make me lift a
large weight within a very small time limit.
However, there's a catch; you have to stop at
the precise moment. If not, I will be flown
upwards out of stage once I manage to
lift it. If you haven't even reached that
precise timing, i will lift it up anyway, but it
turns out that i'm a WIMP, and get flattened
by it's immense weight, making me go through the
floor and hit the stages bottom. If either
happens, then the games OVER!
controls: Space key=Bend kazooie up and down.

The final version rewrites some of the text, mainly due to the fact that Kazooie just flies upwards if
the power meter reaches too high rather than getting some overly massive arms, and secondly to make it fit
inside the info box.

Blooper 01

What??

This line was completely removed from the final version.
Early:
Ok.
Final:
Ok then.

"then" was added after "Ok".

Blooper 03
Early:
Well birdie, let's hope it turns out good, because MY
games will sell BETTER than your "Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day"!
Final:
Well birdie, let's hope it turns out good, because MY
games will sell BETTER than your Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day!

Quotation marks around "Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day" removed,
something that will be popping up again 2 more times.

Blooper 04
Early:
Well birdo, let's hope it turns out good, because MY
games will sell BETTER than your "Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day"! ...
Final:
Well birdo, let's hope it turns out good, because MY
games will sell BETTER than your Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day!

Quotation marks around "Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day" removed. The ellipses at the end
was also removed, due to them not being able to fit in the text box.

Early:
Oh, nothin'
Final:
Oh, nothin'.

A dot was missing at the end of the line. It was added in the final.

Early:
CUT IT!
Final:
CUT IT!!

A second exclamation mark was added to make it more apparent that the cameraman was shouting the words out
rather than just saying them.

Early:
Ok, the 3rd attempt and counting.
Let's not mess this up now birdie.
Final:
Ok, 3rd attempt and counting.
Now, let's not mess up this scene birdie!

This sentence was slightly reworded between versions.

Early:
Alright!
Final:
Alright. 3rd attempt now!

Just got a bit changed for the final version.

Blooper 05
Early:
Well birdie, let's hope it turns out good, because MY
games will sell BETTER than your "Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day"!
Final:
Well birdie, let's hope it turns out good, because MY
games will sell BETTER than your Kazooie's Bad Stupid Day!

Quotation marks removed.

Early:
Kazooie put her underwear on top of her pants in a hurry
while being over on the toilet before we were going
to shoot the scene. Yep, bloopers like this
do happen every now and then.
Final:
Kazooie put her underwear on top of her pants in a hurry
while being over on the toilet before we were going
to shoot the scene. Yep fellas, bloopers like these
do happen every now and then.

"this" was replaced with "these". The early version of this text also lacks the word "fellas" after "Yep".
