Demo 3.2

Demo 3.2 is a early development build that is 647 days older than the final build of the game. This build is where things in the game was starting to be properly put together, more sounds being sampled down, and the removal of the various base images graphics while leaving behind new ones.

(This page is a work-in-progress. The stuff related to this prototype page will eventually be added at some point.)

Hud clock changed from purple to blue.

0.7 3.2

Status bar changed to green with a white garlic pattern, and it shrunk from 739x80 to 700x80.

World 7

1.1 3.2 Final V1

Level has been redesigned to work around performance issues on WinXP(at the time early development of the game occured, that is.). The wall graphic was changed to a torch-like thing where the flames would be. It was reverted back due to the possibility of having to place separate flame objects on top of them, which would have made the game's frame rate dip down considerably, and the graphic not looking very good.

Remains the same as previous builds, apart from floor tiles inside walls having been removed.

0.9 3.2 Final V1

Has been shrunk one tile on each side, and the floor tiles inside walls was removed.

Misc screen differences

This build marks a point when more work was being done in preparation for what would become the deviantart 2011 build of the game. Things like the coffee book screens have seen some graphical updates, and work on minigames have been started for real. A common sight is the choices on the minigame title screens being simplified to just say "PLAY", "RULES", and "QUIT", though due to the existence of just this one object(and no further coding having been done) it just cycles through all three frames over and over.

1.3 3.2 Final V1

Title logo has been redrawn, and no longer animates. Rather than a large coin behind the logo, there is instead a fancy pink line at the bottom, and the "IN" is colored differently.

1.3 3.2 Final V1

"VALIDATE" button added, and the"PASSWORD GENERATOR" button was shifted to the left side. Still no "BACK" object yet.

0.8 3.2 Final V1

No visual changes, but music is now played on this screen whereas in previous builds it did not.

3.1 3.2 Final V1

The fancy detail on the bottom left corner of the dialogue box was removed.

3.1 3.2 Final V1

The stars plane was changed to sand, which is basically a graphic reused from Crower VS The Time. Guess I assigned this graphic as a placeholder, only to keep it as is through the rest of the game's development. Kazooa is STILL in the same position since demo 2.1.

0.8 3.2 Final V1

No changes apart from removing the fancy detail on the bottom left corner of the dialogue box.

3.2 Final V1

Although no visual changes have been made, the sound controller object is visible. Nothing big of note, but a difference is at least a difference...

1.0 3.2 Final V1

Although this screen(room ID 331) first appears in demo 2.2, this is the first build where the sound controller for this object was given a sprite, so that's why this screen is documented on this page instead.

2.1 3.2 Final V1

3.2 Final V1

The background has been done. Although still very different from the final in terms of background placement, this shows that I was already(or close to) in the process of changing the perspective of the flying segment of World 2.

3.2 Final V1

Entirely different, with only the road having been done, and what appears to be a sidewalk. The info text found in the final version of this minigame mentions the player driving through a city, so this was a early idea for the scenery before being replaced with a sunset background akin to the Wario Hop minigame from Wario Land 4. The background doesn't scroll.

3.2 Final V1

Though the basic layout has been made, there are still differences. The panel where Kazooa stands are just sand tiles in this build, and Kazooa would have been placed two tiles away from the edge of the screen rather than one. The playfield also seems a bit shorter here compared to final.

1.3 3.2 Final V1

While the screen is now like the final version, the ground is placed slightly lower.

3.2 Final V1

The background is in, but the light is still placed one tile lower similarly to the screen where Kazooa reveals her Clockobat.

2.1 3.2 Final V1

No differences apart from a change with the background graphic.

3.0 3.2 Final V1

No differences apart from a change with the wall graphic.

2.1 3.2 Final V1

Player now starts slighty in the middle top left rather than the top right.

2.1 3.2 Final V1

World 6 enemy is placed nearer to one of the World 7 enemies. No snowballs or fire hydrant is present.

2.1 3.2 Final V1

Kazooa moved to the middle of the room.

2.2 3.2 Final V1

No changes except for the green diamond's saturation being increased.

3.1 3.2 Final V1

The fancy detail on the bottom left corner of the dialogue box was removed. Apart from that, the screen remains the same.

3.0 3.2 Final V1

The fancy detail on the bottom left corner of the dialogue box was removed. Apart from that, the screen remains the same.

3.0 3.2 Final V1

The upper part of the screen was filled in to be consistent with the first two pages. Apart from that, the screen is exactly the same.
